Bringing together the globally renowned quality and excellence of the superyacht industry around the British Isles, the annual British Superyacht Summer Celebration and Awards 2026 took place on Saturday, 20 June. Hosted at the spectacular Harbour Hotel and Spa within the vibrant MDL Ocean Village Marina, Southampton, the evening proved to be an unforgettable milestone, blending world-class entertainment, exceptional networking, and the well-deserved recognition of industry pioneers.
The atmosphere at MDL Ocean Village Marina was charged with anticipation as leaders, innovators, and members of the British Superyacht community gathered to celebrate our collective achievements. Under the radiant midsummer evening sky, the Harbour Hotel and Spa provided the perfect nautical backdrop, its contemporary architecture and sweeping views over the marina mirroring the forward-thinking ambition of our members.
An Evening of High-Flying Wonder
The celebration commenced with an absolute showstopper that left attendees breathless. Guests gathered on the Bow Terrace to witness a spectacular, adrenaline-fuelled jet suit flying display by Gravity Industries.
The world-famous flight team demonstrated the absolute cutting edge of human flight technology, soaring effortlessly over the marina. This display of daring engineering and technical mastery perfectly mirrored the innovative spirit driving the superyacht sector today, setting an exhilarating tone for the rest of the evening.
Following the aerial excitement, the focus shifted to food, where top-tier chefs prepared a sumptuous, bespoke BBQ. Searing premium local ingredients to perfection, the culinary team treated guests to an extraordinary gastronomic experience. The relaxed, open-air setting offered the perfect opportunity for attendees to reconnect with peers, exchange ideas, and forge new alliances, embodying our core belief that we are truly 'Stronger Together in Leading the Industry'.
Magic, Music, and Midsummer Glamour
As the warm evening mellowed, the guests were captivated by the extraordinary talents of Mr Darren Snelgar, a world-famous magician from the prestigious Magic Circle. Performing astonishing close-up sleight of hand and mind-bending illusions, Mr Snelgar kept the crowd thoroughly spellbound, adding a delightful touch of mystique and laughter to the occasion.
As night fell, the energy shifted once again as the live music began. A sensational live band took to the stage, drawing guests onto the dancefloor with an infectious repertoire that spanned classic hits and modern favourites. The vibrant celebrations continued into the late hours, concluding a day defined by impeccable British hospitality and camaraderie.
