Yesterday (Tuesday, 31 March 2026), marked a truly momentous occasion for our community as we hosted the highly anticipated inaugural British Superyacht Soiree in the Midlands. Set against the stunning, historic backdrop of Winstanley House in Leicester, the evening was a resounding success, underscoring the incredible momentum and passion within our network.

While the superyacht industry is naturally drawn to the coastlines, the impressive turnout from guests across the entire Midlands region served as a powerful reminder of the deep roots our sector has inland. From world-class engineering and innovative technology to elite craftsmanship and essential supply chain services, the Midlands & North is a powerhouse of talent. Watching professionals from all corners of the regional industry connect, share ideas, and forge new partnerships over the course of the evening was genuinely inspiring.

At British Superyacht, our daily objective is bringing together the globally renowned quality and excellence of the superyacht industry around the British Isles. The energy in the room at Winstanley House perfectly encapsulated that mission. The animated conversations and shared enthusiasm for the future of British marine excellence proved, once again, that we are undoubtedly stronger together in leading the industry. It is through these regional connections that our national footprint grows ever more robust.
Richard Selby, CEO of British Superyacht said "the feedback from our members has been hugely positive with some obvious business connections taking place which is exactly what our British Superyacht Soirée's were created for".

Of course, no British Superyacht gathering would be complete without a touch of friendly competition and celebration. A major highlight of the night was the renowned draw for our exclusive British Superyacht | Leading the Industry Superyacht cap. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the prize was won by Mark Emmett from M-Tech Connect. Congratulations, Mark—we know you will wear it with pride, and it was fantastic to have you and M-Tech Connect celebrate with us!
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who travelled from around the region to attend. Your dedication to your business and your willingness to collaborate are what make this community so exceptional. The success of this inaugural Midlands event sets a high benchmark, and we are already looking forward to bringing more spectacular events to the region in the future.
