Hurricane Relief efforts in Carriacou

British Superyacht

As you know, British Superyacht support Superyacht Charities and today they have posted an appeal for our industry to support the hurricane relief efforts in Carriacou.

The Caribbean, its beautiful islands and wonderful people a provide immense support for superyachts year round, many of them have lost their homes and livelihoods.

This is the Superyacht Charities post that we republish here on their behalf, please give what you can

Hurricane Beryl is the first of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season and the most powerful ever recorded.

The Grenadian islands of Carriacou and Petit Martinique sustained the most severe damage when Beryl made landfall as a Category 4 storm and later saw its winds strengthen to a Category 5. About 11,000 people inhabit the two islands.

The trustees will be heading to the island in September to support the local efforts with vital resources. Our presence will be essential in providing much-needed assistance, ensuring that the community receives the help it needs during this urgent time.

The Superyacht Charities will be donating £20,000 from our Cash4Causes fund to purchase equipment vital for the support mission. We are looking to raise an additional £20,000 by the end of August to send and support the trustees as they go to Carriacou to offer hands-on help.
