The picturesque marina of Ocean Village in Southampton provided the perfect backdrop this week as we celebrated a significant milestone for one of our esteemed members. Edmiston, a powerhouse in the brokerage and yacht management sector, officially opened the doors to its new centralised yacht management office. This strategic expansion complements their existing hubs in London and Monaco, cementing their footprint on the South Coast and highlighting the region's crucial role in the global superyacht sector.

British Superyacht was delighted to be on the ground to support Edmiston's continued success. The afternoon was marked by fantastic conversations, shared insights, and a true sense of community among superyacht professionals.
A Strong Showing from British Superyacht
Representing our organisation at the event was British Superyacht CEO, Richard Selby, alongside our dedicated Ambassadors: Jo Assael, Liam Dobbin, and Jason Robertson. Their presence underscored our commitment to championing the achievements of our members and fostering meaningful connections across the network.
The afternoon was a masterclass in collaboration, offering a prime opportunity for our leadership to engage with Edmiston’s expanded team and other industry stakeholders.
Networking with Purpose: The event brought together key players to discuss the future of yacht management, operational excellence, and the evolving needs of an expanding global fleet.
Local Roots, Global Reach: Southampton's rich maritime heritage makes it an ideal, strategic location for a globally recognized brand like Edmiston to establish a new operational base.
Shared Vision: Conversations throughout the afternoon highlighted the importance of structured growth and technical rigor in delivering premium service to clients worldwide.
Fostering Excellence on the South Coast
Events like this office launch are about much more than just a new physical space; they represent the ongoing vitality and expansion of our local maritime footprint. Edmiston’s decision to plant a new flag in Southampton perfectly aligns with the core vision of bringing together the globally renowned quality and excellence of the superyacht industry around the British Isles.
British Superyacht CEO Richard Selby said, "When our members invest in new infrastructure, leadership, and talent right here on our shores, it elevates the entire network. It creates new avenues for partnership, enhances our collective expertise, and ensures that the the British Isles remains a premier destination for superyacht services, management, and innovation".
Looking Ahead
As the afternoon in Ocean Village drew to a close, the energy in the room was a clear reminder of why this network thrives. By supporting each other's growth, sharing knowledge, and celebrating mutual milestones, we prove time and again that we are stronger together in leading the industry.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Head of Yacht Management, Shelley Dowie and the entire Edmiston team on their beautiful new office. We look forward to seeing the incredible work that will undoubtedly emerge from this new Southampton hub and the positive impact it will have on the broader superyacht community.
